HP Sprout Operating System

3D capture and share

After delivering an award-winning, genre-defying product, we wanted to look for a way to double down on its value to the core users - makers.

Project

Makers already liked the 3D capture and manipulation tools of the Sprout. We wanted to extend support for not just the individual work, but the collaboration that envelops creative work, so we built a suite of applications and software tools to help makers capture, manipulate, share their works, and collaborate with their friends and fellow makers.

Process

Working with project management and development teams, we built a functional prototype using real hardware. I started by sketching concepts, then generated wireframes to understand the workflows and specific interactions. From there we rendered high fidelity visual designs and prototyped transitions and state changes. We also tested our designs with real users.
